Welcome to PokerSplit. By accessing or using this service, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. Description of Service

PokerSplit is a free web application that helps players track buy-ins and calculate settlements for home poker games. Features include real-time game sharing, game history, leaderboards, and a player pool — available with a free account.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use PokerSplit. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement. PokerSplit is intended to help settle real-money games played among friends; it is not a gambling platform and does not facilitate any wagering.

3. User Accounts

You may use PokerSplit without an account. Creating an account allows you to access game history, leaderboards, and player pool features. You are responsible for:

Keeping your account credentials secure
All activity that occurs under your account
Providing accurate information when signing up

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use PokerSplit for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Submit false, misleading, or harmful content
Interfere with or disrupt the service or its servers
Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or stress-test the service
Impersonate another person or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions

5. Game Data and Player Names

You are responsible for any player names or data you enter into PokerSplit. Do not enter real names, personal information, or any content belonging to others without their permission. PokerSplit game codes are shareable — anyone with a code can view game data in real time.

6. Intellectual Property

The PokerSplit name, logo, and application code are owned by the creator. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the service without prior written permission, except as permitted by applicable open-source licenses.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

PokerSplit is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Settlement calculations are provided for convenience — always verify results before exchanging money.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PokerSplit and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service — including but not limited to financial losses arising from reliance on settlement calculations.

9. Third-Party Services

PokerSplit uses third-party services including Supabase, Google Sign-In, and Google Analytics. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

10. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of PokerSplit at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Use. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
